  • In June 2017, it was reported that Chinese importers were paying between CNY 80 to CNY 140 (USD 11.70 to USD 20.60) per 15 kg to 16 kg for Myanmar Sein Talone mangoes. Myanmar’s Sein Ta Lone mango (aka Diamond Solitaire mango) has a two month harvest season generally ends in June.
  • From April 2015 to March 2016, Myanmar exported 528,960 MTs of watermelon to China and hopes to export 600,000 MTs during the 2016 to 2017 fiscal year (April to March). In general, watermelon and muskmelon accounted for ~65% of Myanmar’s fruit exports. Every July, Chinese watermelons hit the domestic market and imports tend to dip.
