The Finnish meat industry is authorized to export pork to China, the country’s Agriculture Ministry confirmed on Friday [16 January 2015]. - In terms of dairy and meat exports, Finland primarily supplies whey (i.e. watery remainder of milk after the formation of curds) to mainland China. From 2010 to 2013, Finnish exports of whey (HS 0404) increased from 14,366 MTs to 17,501 MTs or from US$22.8 million to US$47.7 million. Finland also exports modest amounts of concentrated milk (e.g. milk powder) to mainland China.
