The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) said Sept. 18 that China bought 1.93 million tonnes of soybeans for delivery during the current 2013-14 marketing year from U.S. private exporters. The USDA also said private exporters sold 182,000 tonnes of soybeans to “unknown destinations” for the 2013-14 marketing year that began Sept. 1.   • From January 2010 to September 2012, Chinese monthly soybean imports ranged from a low of 2.9 million MTs in February 2010, to a high of 6.2 million MTs in June 2010. Soybean imports averaged 4.5 million MTs per month in 2010, 4.3 million MTs per month in 2011, and 4.9 million MTs per month from January to September 2012.
