According to the latest Customs report, Peruvian agricultural exports to Asia grew by 69% in 2011 and the table grape shipments to China, from January to September of this year reached USD 10.8 million.
William Arteaga, Agribusiness Department coordinator said the increase to that destination would be held at the end of this year and estimated that table grape exports will triple sales reaching USD 30 million.
Between January and September 2012, Peruvian agricultural exports to China totaled USD 34.3 million in a total of 28 tariff lines, accumulating more than 9,000 tons.
According to the report, the main exported products were: table grapes for USD 10.8 million, followed by alpaca yarn with USD 15 million, tara USD 5 million, among others.
According to projections by [email protected]ón, table grape exports for the 2012-2013 season could reach USD 450 million.
